| term paper research |
| It's amazing how much one can learn by performing research. When you write 10-15 papers a week sometimes and edit others, you come across a lot of information. Much of it flows in and right back out but there is always interesting stuff that sticks with you. For example, in the area of phrase origination, "Speak of the Devil" is short for "Speak of the Devil and he shall come". People thought that if you spoke about the Devil it would attract his attention. That's why when you're talking about someone and they show up people still say "Speak of the Devil." In the area of invention, Leonardo da Vinci invented the scissors. Oh, and try to rhyma any word in the English language with the word "month". |
